In order for a residential driveway to be a good investment, it must be properly constructed. If you currently have a gravel driveway, or stone driveway, the first step to installing a new asphalt driveway is to properly prepare the site. The new asphalt is then installed and compacted over a prepared stone base. Your new asphalt driveway will last for many years, if properly maintained.
If your driveway is showing wear and tear but the base is still structurally sound, you may be able to use a new layer of asphalt as a driveway overlay. If the asphalt needs to be replaced, we will remove and haul away the existing asphalt. and usually the stone base as well. In some cases we may be able to use the existing stone, add additional stone.
If your asphalt or concrete driveway is showing wear and tear, but the base is still structurally sound, you may be able to overlay or cap the driveway with a new layer of asphalt. Resurfacing a driveway can be considerably less expensive than completely removing, and replacing, an existing driveway, and will still add years of life to your driveway surface.
